Paleo What?
For the past three years Mr. Mind has suffered from problems with his skin. Itchy, painful, bumpy and just down right not normal. We have been working with doctors and even infectious disease specialist for nearly two years. Every medicine, vitamin and surgical suggestion hasn't worked. At first the thought of going under the knife was ignore but the more Mr. Mind was in pain, the more he has given into the thought.
One day, I decided to look up pictures of the surgery and what the results would be. I have no idea why I did that because bodily fluids can make me gag. Low and behold, we found the answer to his problem. Surgery outcomes looked horrible and can cause other problems, typical. One picture led me a blog that explained a women's experience with the same skin condition. For the first time I learn that it wasn't a skin condition, it is actually an autoimmune disorder and the answer to the problem is The Paleo Diet.
Six months ago, I thought limiting gluten from Mr. Mind's diet will effect his skin. We tried it for a week and then gave in. I make homemade bread, cookies and many rice dishes and we didnt want to give it up. But we threw food desires to the side and have been following the Paleo diet for a few weeks. What relief we have found! Mr. Mind's swollen skin has ceases, it isn't as painful, and new symptoms haven't occurred. We have withdrawn the following foods from his diet:
Through my research I have learned that people with diabetes, MS, and other autoimmune disorders. If you or your children are suffering from something and doctors do not have an answer, give the Paleo Diet a try. Lend 30-60 days and receive some relief and answers. *Be mindful that you might continue to have a reaction to foods that you did not eliminate such as fruit and veggies.

- Canola oil
- Bread
- Gluten/Wheat flour (haven't used white flour in a year)
- Noodles, Rice
- Potatoes
- Beans/Legumes
- Green Beans/String Beans
- A few more items
